Here, history creaks in the wooden beams, and every corner exudes the spirit of north-west Jutland. Behind the café are Martin and Kerstin, who are usually the ones you meet when you step inside.
At Dorte Visby, you’ll find ceramics with an edge, character and clear traces of the natural surroundings of Lønstrup. In the old barn at Mårupgård, both one-off pieces and functional ceramics are created, inspired by the cliffs, the sea and the rugged landscape.

Rubjerg Knude Lighthouse is one of North Jutland’s biggest tourist attractions. Standing right on the edge of the impressive Rubjerg Knude migrating sand dune, the lighthouse offers one of the most striking views across the North Sea and Vendsyssel from its top.
In 2019, it was decided to try to move the lighthouse further inland in order to preserve it, as the cliff — as mentioned above — is being gradually consumed by the North Sea.
