Great surf spots at the Northwest coast
No matter if you are a pro surfer or you are surfing for the first time, you will find the best spots to test your surfing skills here on the Northwest coast.
At the Northwest coast you will find some of Europes best surf spots. The well-known area Cold Hawaii extends from Hanstholm to Thyborøn. Cold Hawaii is a true surfers paradise with more than 30 great surfspots along the coastal line in Thy. Have a surf or SUP fun yet challenging course with your friends or familie at Cold Hawaii Surf Camp in Klitmøller. A little more south, in Thyborøn, you can have similar courses with Thyborøn Surfcenter. Due to Thyborøn Canal, you might also find beginner-waves here.
Going up north along the Northwest coast, you will find more great surf conditions. Løkken and Hirtshals has great surfspots, especially for beginners. Even though you are a beginner, you should always have an instructor with you. At North Shore Surf in Løkken they offer surf courses, sauna and wilderness bath. Also you can take SUP and surf courses at Hirtshals Surf & natur.
